How To Take Inspired Action Even When You're Terrified

"The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why.”-Mark Twain

You've got a vision for something important in your life and you know it will require you to step out in a new way. Whether it's a heart-to-heart conversation with a loved one, committing to a new practice or getting onstage to speak for the first time, we can get stuck in fear and lose momentum toward our dreams.

Here's how to shift out of fear and move in the direction of your current dream from a place of joy.

3 Strategies to Move From Hope to Inspired Action

1. Raise Necessity. WHO needs me to show up today? Who are you willing to fight for? Go all-in for? Oftentimes, it will be your loved ones or a small group suffering from something you've already been through.
* Action: Visualize inspiring them as if it’s already happening. Emotionalize the experience. Connect to how that will feel in your heart.

2. Define your own SUCCESS. Do it for the LOVE of doing it. Release the mind's tendency to only look to external validation such as money, accolades, likes on social media. Again, feel into the gratification of doing it for the impact it will leave on your community. The income and external achievements will come in time from that place of pure love of the sport.
3. Commit to Small Daily Braveries (Brene Brown) Overcome paralysis and overwhelm by prioritizing 3 things you will get done aligned with your dream each day.
