The gift of your joyful presence, ready to enjoy your loved ones, is truly the best gift you can give this holiday season.
But, does setting limits on your time and energy bring you anxiety?
It did and still does for me too.
Here are 3 steps that will help you to align your holiday calendar with your most intentional, best you:
1. TIME. Pause before responding. Refrain from answering back immediately. Mindful Magazine calls these moments we can take for ourselves “sanity pauses.”
2. TUNE-IN. Set an intention. Whether you desire peace, happiness, ease. Measure everything against that intention.
3. TRUTH. Honor yourself and your relationship by responding truthfully. Be direct and loving. Keep your response short and cheerful. Don’t over explain. Here’s a mantra to help you center yourself: “I speak my truth with love.”
